Encouraging your volunteers to fundraise

Ways to encourage your volunteers to fundraise:

How2fundraise
http://www.how2fundraise.org/

How2fundraise is the most comprehensive, FREE online resource for the UK's 16 million volunteer fundraisers, created by the Institute of Fundraising. The website includes fundraising ideas, how 2 guides, legal information and useful templates.

Institute of Fundraising membership

Membership of the Institute of Fundraising offers a wide range of support and information services for both individuals and organisations involved in fundraising activities. As an Institute of Fundraising member you demonstrate your commitment to raising standards, achieving best practice and developing your career in fundraising. If you are involved in any aspect of voluntary income generation then the Institute of Fundraising is your professional organisation. Your membership will include access to communication with fellow fundraisers (for example, via email groups), entitlement to study a wider range of fundraising qualifications and subscription to weekly magazine Third Sector.

Third Sector Magazine

The weekly raises the profile of this important sector and its quality will reflect the professionalism and standing of the not-for-profit field and those who work in it. Third Sector has a circulation of 20,000 professionals drawn from the top UK charities. It is devoted to all not-for-profit areas, as the third sector covers anything that falls outside either the private or the public sector. Dedicated news sections include fundraising, finance and communications.
