Through infrastructure support work WSCVYS was able to help the Asian Women’s Art Group in Crawley to secure funding from the Scarman Trust and Community Champions. Samiksha, who started the project, wrote to let us know the latest Group news and has promised a CD of embroidery work. She has gone to India to have her baby and has passed the work to her friend Heena:

“We have a constitution now. We are searching for more funding to teach and [to help with] socialisation [of our group]. The funding has changed a few ladies lives. They have learned a new skill which will definitely help them in the future. Thanks to you for encouraging us and for arranging funding for us.”
